Biogas provides a practical route for treating biodegradable waste while recovering renewable fuel. Instead of sending suitable organic material to landfill, an engineered anaerobic-digestion system can convert it into biogas and nutrient-bearing digestate.

The process takes place in an enclosed oxygen-free environment where microorganisms break down food waste, animal waste and other biodegradable feedstocks.
